The Boss was the secret identity of D. Hammond Samuels. Posing as a mysterious businessman, he was hired by the Board of Directors for Lords of Pain Wrestling (LPW) for the start of the e-federation's fifth season. He was hired to replace Spectre as LPW CEO and Inferno General Manager after the global economic crisis of 2008, forcing the Board to make quick action. After the 13 cycle of shows at Take No Prisoners, Samuels revealed his true identity to arch-nemesis, Drew Michaels.
His first administrative decision saw him hire the controversial Little Red as Insanity's General Manager.
