Capital Punishment was a professional e-wrestling pay-per-view produced by Lords of Pain Wrestling (LPW), presented by its Inferno brand. The event took place during the 15.5 cycle on February 23, 2010.
The event was highlighted by a Triple Threat match for the LPW International Heavyweight Championship, where Styxx defended the title against Mass Chaos and Krimson Mask. Also, St. Jayne Nighthawk won the LPW Idol tournament and winning the LPW Television Championship, Eddie B. defeated D. Hammond Samuels in 8 seconds, Drew Michaels defeated White Falcon in a brutal match tp start the year, and Nigel Vanderbilt hit the Jungle Kick on SoL to win a Teacher vs. Student Match.

The Inferno-exclusive pay-per-view featured 8 professional e-wrestling matches that involve different wrestlers from feuds, plots and storylines. Wrestlers are portrayed as either villains or fan favorites as they follow a series of events which built tension, culminating in a wrestling match or series of matches.
At Sacrament, Mass Chaos became the first man to defend the LPW International Heavyweight Championship not once, but twice; defeating Styxx and White Falcon. After Chaos' accomplishment, Inferno GM D. Hammond Samuels announced that the new Number One Contender would be The Illuminati's monstrous Krimson Mask. The two were scheduled to face each other at Capital Punishment, however Styxx defeated Chaos to win the championship at Inferno 15.3 and a triple threat match was booked with Chaos' rematch clause and Krimson Mask's #1 contendership facing the champion Styxx for the title.
Before Inferno 15.4 from Virginia Tech, Little Red announced that 10 Inferno wrestlers would compete in qualifying matches, with the winners competing in a 5-Way match at Capital Punishment. St. Jayne Nighthawk defeated Cripsy, Eric Scorpio defeated Boxcar Danny, who was reavealed as Eric Scorpio at All-Stars, Atlas Adams defeated Big B. Brown, and Damien Blaze defeated Sylvester Eccleston.
