Southern S.W.A.T. Team was an American professional e-wrestling tag team that consisted of Chad Matthews and Snowman. The team competed in the Psychotic Wrestling Alliance (PWA) on its Pyromania brand during its third season (8th cycle).
With both competitors having ties from Georgia and taking pride as superior wrestling technicians (part of the S.W.A.T. acronym; a is unknown), Matthews and Snowman aimed to technically dismantle Pyromania's tag team division.
History[]
Chad Matthews and Snowman made their tag team debut at Pyromania 8.2 in July 2006, technically dismantling Blackwell and Stallion.
The following show at Pyromania 8.3 on August 24, 2006, the Southern S.W.A.T. Team faced off against the Lost Prophets (Retribution and Cyrus) to determine the Number One Contender to the PWA World Tag Team Championship. In an evenly contested match-up, the Lost Prophets were able to get the duke. Impressed by both team's performances, Pyromania officials included Southern S.W.A.T. Team into the title match to make it a Triple Threat Tag Team match.
At One Way Ticket, the reigning defending champions, the Bad Mamma Jammas (Sheepster and Styxx), were able to put down Matthews (who had no showed the match), thus eliminating the Southern S.W.A.T. Team. Eventually, the Bad Mamma Jammas would also get the best of the Lost Prophets to successfully retain the championship.
Weeks later, after the Pyrogate scandal occured, Snowman left to exclusively compete in Full Metal Wrestling (FMW), while Matthews would retire from e-wrestling.
