Thomas Slidell was an American e-wrestler that competed in Lords of Pain Wrestling (LPW). He was the first tag team partner of Eddie B. as a member of The Next Ones, however due to personal reasons and multiple no shows, he was released on two separate occassions despite huge potential.
Career
Carolinas Wrestling Alliance
Thomas Slidell started in the wrestling business at 17 years old. He joined the Carolinas Wrestling Alliance (CWA) and quickly rose through the ranks, winning the CWA Interstate Championship at the age of 19. Later that year, he won the CWA Tag Team Championship with Ricky Suave to become the first dual champion in the CWA since 1987.
The next year, Slidell dropped both belts and eventually became the CWA Heavyweight Champion, a reign that lasted two years. At 22, he left CWA to join New Japan.
New Japan Pro Wrestling
In New Japan, Slidell was put in another tag team, winning their NJPW World Tag Team Championship with Tanaka Hiromoto only four months after his Japanese debut. Hiromoto left New Japan only two months into the reign, forcing Slidell to drop the belts a week later. However, he soon won the IWF Heavweight Championship and held the gold for nearly two years, ending a record 253 successful defenses.
Due to personal reasons, Slidell left the wrestling business for five years.
Lords of Pain Wrestling
In 2007, Slidell joined Lords of Pain Wrestling (LPW) and was assigned to the Inferno brand. He participated in several matches, but was never fully entrenched in his role. Due to the aforementioned personal reasons, he was forced to leave the brand only a few months into his tenure.
