The Verizon Center (formerly the MCI Center) is a sports and entertainment arena in Washington, D.C., named after telecommunications sponsor Verizon Communications, and has been nicknamed the "Phone Booth" because of its association with telecommunications companies. It is located in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington and sits atop the Gallery Place-Chinatown station on the Washington Metro. The arena is home to the Washington Capitals of the NHL, Washington Wizards of the NBA, Washington Mystics of the WNBA, and Georgetown University men's basketball team.

On July 22, 2008, Inferno presented Redemption as Inferno's final exclusive card during its fourth season. In the main event, Drew Michaels successfully retained the LPW International Heavyweight Championship by defeating Wevv Mang and Sheepster in a Triple Threat match. It also marked the final exclusive title defense of the LPW World Tag Team Championship, where Tromboner Man and RaTo of the MWA successfully defended the titles over Heroic Future and The Next Ones. Afterwards at Altered Reality IV, the titles would be unified with the LPW United States Tag Team Championship to form the newly created LPW Undisputed World Tag Team Championship.
LPW returned to the Verizon Center on January 12, 2010, for a cross-brand supershow named All-Stars. The main event was a "Champions vs. Challengers" Tag Team match, where Hatchet Ryda, the LPW World Heavyweight Champion, teamed-up with Styxx, the LPW International Heavyweight Champion, against future title challengers Andy Savana and Krimson Mask. It marked the first time in LPW history that both World champions had teamed together in the same match. Savana and Krimson Mask were victorious in the match. In addition, the event hosted the 2009 Achievement Awards and the top five finalists for the Apex of the Decade and the top three tag teams from the Decade Apex of Tag Teams were revealed.
To begin the sixth season of LPW, the e-federation returned to the Verizon Center at Homecoming for the 2010 LPW Draft. During the pre-show, with the first overall selection, Insanity selected Jude Maxwell. In the main event, Sheepster defeated cYnical to win the LPW World Heavyweight Championship.
