Writer's block is a writing condition in which an author loses the ability to produce new work. The condition varies widely in intensity. It can be trivial, a temporary difficulty in dealing with the task at hand, or a possibility that burnout may be occuring.
In e-wrestling, writer's block may affect the work of a handler and how he/she writes the progression of his character's e-wrestler. It can manifest as the affected writer viewing their work as inferior or unsuitable, when in fact it could be the opposite. Under the Promo and Voting deadlines enforced, a handler who has writer's block may be forced to lower the quality of the written promo, resulting in a lowered average promo score (aps), or even cause a no show.
